The Maintenance Technician III is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for complex electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and installing systems, as well as interfacing with other crafts to ensure seamless operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems, complex gauges, and instrumentation
  • Install and program electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation
  • Calibrate instruments for accuracy and precision
  • Rebuild instruments as needed, including acquiring necessary parts and tools
  • Assist with data communication design and installations
  • Maintain accurate time and material records
  • Prepare work reports in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Perform inspections and make recommendations for system upgrades and renovations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum four years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control, electronics, electrical, and/or a mechanical program
  • Associate's degree from a post-secondary technical school in Electronics or Process Instrumentation and Control preferred
  • Certification as a journeyman in the instrumentation trade and ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CSST) Program Level II may be substituted for the required education
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques
