Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team at Fincantieri Marine Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Labor Relations function and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and provide guidance on HR best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison for employees regarding benefits and payroll, working closely with corporate departments to resolve issues and communicate effectively.
  • Collect and analyze data for the company's affirmative action plan, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Process exit interviews, notify relevant personnel of terminations, and provide benefits information to departing employees.
  • Handle requests for employment verifications, benefits, and other employment-related information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, forms, and database information.
  • Perform recalls and layoffs of production employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Audit company-owned personnel files and employment law postings for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Coordinate employee relations issues with the HR Administration Manager to achieve prompt and effective resolution.
  • Maintain plan and office bulletin boards in compliance with established guidelines and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Perform related duties in support of the human resources function, including primary or backup responsibilities.
  • Provide assistance for training programs and update training records on a recurring basis.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in HR or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Industry experience beneficial, but not necessary.
  • Experience in ADP/SAP is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of HR Policy and Procedure.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law (EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Compensation practices.
  • Knowledge of Labor Union Relations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to be self-directed.
