Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service abilities, particularly suited for those who enjoy engaging with others.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong data entry capabilities to accurately maintain and update customer records and product inventories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and effectively utilize web-based applications tailored for the propane sector.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret work orders, shipping documents, product labels, and invoices after brief training.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within the branch.
  • Proactively share ideas and collaborate with the home office to enhance processes and improve operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering outstanding service to customers and prospects via walk-in, phone, or email interactions.
  • Collaborating closely with the Branch Manager to coordinate service scheduling.
  • Effectively closing sales during inbound and outbound communications.
  • Timely collection of payments on overdue invoices and managing customer account balances.
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions while performing account reconciliations.
  • Managing branch correspondence, including trips to the post office for mail retrieval and delivery.
  • Ensuring daily deposits are made accurately.
  • Conducting weekly and monthly reporting while recognizing the significance of deadlines.
  • Monitoring and ordering office supplies in line with company protocols.
  • Accurately coding vendor invoices for payment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds to assist customers with cylinder fills.
  • Availability for limited travel within the regional area as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays during peak season to support branch operations.
  • Driving customer retention and reinforcing growth strategies.
