Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Specialist and Administrative Coordinator to contribute their expertise and enthusiasm to our expanding corporate department. This role is crucial in fulfilling the comprehensive accounting requirements, from fundamental accounting tasks to meeting external audit standards on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements with bookkeeping ledgers.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the Department of Labor drawdowns.
- Develop and oversee budgets for all grants.
- Generate Financial Statements.
- Facilitate corporate and operational audits with the Department of Labor.
- Manage payroll and related HR functions.
- Stay informed on state and local tax regulations.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on importance and deadlines.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite.
- Strong communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $20-$28 based on experience.
