Join Our Team as a Reentry Employment Specialist
At The Lee Group, we are dedicated to assisting individuals transitioning from incarceration, guiding them on their path to recovery and fulfillment. Position Overview: The Reentry Employment Specialist plays a crucial role in empowering participants through educational and vocational training. Operating within a correctional environment, this position focuses on equipping individuals for successful job placement, retention, and career advancement.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating Participant Engagement:
    • Leading impactful group workshops and maintaining supportive communication with participants
    • Delivering comprehensive educational and vocational programs
    • Ensuring adherence to the Re-entry Model curriculum during group sessions
    • Preparing for sessions by reviewing educational materials and participant records
    • Establishing trust with participants to facilitate a smooth transition to post-release support
  • Collaborative Teamwork:
    • Documenting participant interactions and progress in the electronic records system
    • Working closely with the care team, including case managers and therapists, to provide coordinated services
    • Participating in team meetings and professional development trainings

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, human resources, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in workforce development or career coaching for vulnerable populations
  • Ability to pass security clearance requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR/Adult First Aid certification preferred
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Professional Career Coach and/or Offenders Workforce Development Specialist
