Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly experienced Associate Director, IT Change Manager to lead the development and implementation of a new IT operating model. This role will be responsible for delivering the successful adoption and implementation of the new model, minimizing disruption and resistance while maximizing the benefits of change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and operate the IT change management capability for UCSF IT.
  • Provide change management leadership for the department-wide transition to a helix-based IT operating model.
  • Develop and implement change management initiatives for similar organizational transitions that optimize value delivery and bring the IT organization into alignment with its mission, priorities, and commitments.
  • Establish a continuous improvement program to house, guide, and direct departmental improvement efforts in support of UCSF True North goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 8 years of demonstrated change management experience in large, complex organizations, working with a broad stakeholder community to effectively deliver change programs.
  • Expert knowledge of organizational development and effectiveness, theories, models, and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possesses expert consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills.
