Job Overview

The Associate Director of Property Management will oversee the day-to-day operations of our 3,300 homes and growing portfolio in San Francisco. This role will supervise six Property Supervisors and assist the Director of Property Management in organizing and directing all property management functions. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, familiarity with affordable housing management principles, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration: Assist direct reports in developing and implementing lease agreements, house rules, and departmental policies.
  • Compliance: Generate compliance reports with regulatory agencies and stay up-to-date on legislation and issues impacting property management operations.
  • Finance: Develop and monitor the portfolio's annual budget, prepare financial and occupancy reports, and oversee rent roll receivable.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with Facilities Manager and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Five years' experience in Property Management, including supervisory experience and a solid understanding of personnel management.
  • Extensive experience developing, monitoring, and reporting on budgets.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, financial, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HUD, HCD, SF Housing Authority, and other guidelines/programs.
  • TCS or COS certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
