Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced Associate Director, IT Change Management to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive IT change management program. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the IT change management capability for UCSF IT, ensuring executive leadership support, and guiding IT leaders to divide the vast landscape of UCSF IT into useful domains and sub-domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a change management program to support the transition to a helix-based IT operating model.
  • Provide change management leadership for the department-wide transition, ensuring executive leadership support and guiding IT leaders to divide the landscape of UCSF IT into useful domains and sub-domains.
  • Design and develop training materials for multiple audiences to introduce the operating model and role-based teams, guide transition tasks, and support necessary skills.
  • Collaborate with IT Communications to develop and deliver timely and effective change communications.
  • Develop and monitor metrics for assessing the extent and permanence of change adoption, refining strategy or tactics as needed.
  • Identify, develop, and implement change management initiatives for similar organizational transitions that optimize value delivery and bring the IT organization into alignment with its mission, priorities, and commitments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 8 years of demonstrated change management experience in large, complex organizations, working with a broad stakeholder community to effectively deliver change programs.
  • Expert knowledge of organizational development and effectiveness, theories, models, and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Expert consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills.
