We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Account Manager to join our team at Yoh, based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a direct hire opportunity that offers a competitive salary and commission potential exceeding $100,000 annually.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales of automated material handling systems within the designated territory. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing sales strategies for markets defined in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.
  • Directly selling automated material handling systems using consultative and strategic selling principles.
  • Identifying and working collectively with clients' decision-making networks.
  • Reviewing customer RFPs, surveys, and economic justifications.
  • Documenting sales activities, interactions, and customer projects using CRM tracking and documentation packages.
  • Maintaining existing customer relationships and expanding new customer base through regular visits.
  • Generating information for company management covering competitive activity and product development issues.
  • Becoming actively involved in key account negotiations and critical commercial situations in the region.
  • Evaluating and recommending new business opportunities to company management.
  • Participating in Division's sales plan process and review.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and operating according to long and short-range sales programs and related annual expense budgets.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience selling into services, manufacturing, or industrial product industries, or a combination of education and capital equipment sales experience.
  • Preference will be given to experience related to material handling systems, including AS/RS, AGVS, floor or ceiling mounted monorail systems, and conveyor systems.
  • Demonstrated product and customer management relationship experience, strong analytical ability in marketing and customer management areas, and general business and technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • A self-starter with the ability to research potential sales prospects and effectively close the sale.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

This position requires up to 60% travel, including domestic and international destinations.
