Job Overview

The Chief of Employee Engagement (CEE) plays a crucial role in fostering relationships, facilitating growth opportunities, and providing operational support to the executive team, departmental leaders, and the workforce. This position emphasizes recruitment, thorough onboarding, employee retention, training coordination, and effective conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Management: Cultivate a supportive environment that embodies La Puente's core values by:
  • Ensuring the accuracy and professionalism of job postings.
  • Collaborating on the development and maintenance of job descriptions.
  • Coordinating the posting of new job opportunities in line with established policies.
  • Assisting with interviews and reference checks as required.
  • Onboarding and Training: Provide tailored onboarding experiences for new hires, introducing them to La Puente's mission, programs, and values. Identify and schedule relevant training sessions to enhance job-related skills.
  • Policy Oversight: Ensure that personnel policies are current and effectively implemented. Recommend policy updates to the executive team to align with organizational needs and legal compliance.
  • Collaboration with Finance: Work closely with the Finance Officer to ensure seamless communication regarding personnel changes and benefit programs.
  • Employee Experience Enhancement: Identify and implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention in partnership with department leaders.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports and spreadsheets for the executive team, assist with research projects, and conduct stay and exit interviews.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $55,000 - $60,000, based on experience.
