Essential Qualifications:

- Background in Human Resources or relevant training is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred; however, 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- HR Certification focusing on people-oriented competencies is desired and supported.

Work Environment:
This role requires full-time on-site engagement. The position includes a private office within a dynamic central hub. Proficiency with computers and technology is integral to this role. Collaboration within a team setting, as well as independent work, is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate relationship building, growth opportunities, and operational support for the executive team, department heads, and staff, focusing on recruitment, comprehensive onboarding, employee retention, training coordination, and conflict management.

- Assist with various Human Resource functions, including performance evaluations.

- Create and maintain an office environment that fosters a culture of care for both staff and volunteers, reflecting and promoting the organization's core values.

- Ensure the accuracy and professionalism of job postings in alignment with departmental requirements.

- Collaborate in the development, updating, and filing of job descriptions.

- Manage the posting of new job openings in accordance with established policies.

- Support the interview process, conduct reference checks, and communicate with potential hires as necessary.

- Provide tailored onboarding itineraries for new employees to familiarize them with the organization's vision, programs, history, service philosophy, values, and policies.

- Identify and schedule relevant skill training during the onboarding phase.

- Ensure staff access to training that enhances their competencies and professional development opportunities.

- Implement fair and effective disciplinary procedures that allow for employee input.

- Coordinate and maintain a comprehensive conflict documentation process.

- Ensure that personnel policies are current and effectively implemented.

- Recommend policy updates to the executive team and board to meet organizational needs and comply with applicable laws.

- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure adherence to HR procedures in line with federal and state regulations.

- Develop a process for efficiently addressing inquiries related to HR policies and issues.

- Assist in managing personnel changes, including resignations and terminations, and communicate with relevant parties.

- Provide training and act as a backup for finance in managing employee benefit programs.

- Maintain complete and compliant personnel records in accordance with federal and state regulations.

- Address staff-related budget matters.

- Identify and propose initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and implement retention strategies in partnership with department leaders and the executive team.

- Organize leadership and engagement activities for monthly staff meetings.

- Prepare reports and spreadsheets related to staff for the executive team as needed.

- Assist with research projects and special assignments.

- Provide administrative support to meet departmental and employee needs.

- Conduct stay and exit interviews.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.


Compensation:
$55,000 - $60,000 annually
