Job Description

The Regional Account Manager is a remote-based position located in the Minneapolis area. This role involves working with existing and new customers to sell water treatment solutions, including boilers, cooling towers, wastewater, HVAC, and other water screening equipment.

As a Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts through regularly scheduled service visits. You will also be responsible for surveying, water testing, equipment review, inventory management, and working with plant personnel to ensure that covered systems are functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply chemical and equipment solutions in large industrial, institutional, manufacturing, and food plants to solve water treatment problems.
  • Capture new opportunities focused on the sale of chemicals for water treatment programs.
  • Carry a 10-15 pound test kit through industrial and commercial environments.
  • Climb stairs and ladders as needed to collect samples and perform inspections.
  • Enter confined spaces, such as boilers, to perform inspections.
  • Travel to accounts within your territory, which may require driving 3+ hours per day.
  • Handle tools and equipment associated with installation and maintenance of water treatment equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Pulp and Paper Science, or other science/technical majors.
  • ~3+ years of commercial/industrial B2B selling experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, value creation, and service skills.
  • Successful track record meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Uncapped commission structure with sellers getting paid on every deal.
