Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist in the preparation and defense of regulatory submissions concerning company policies and regulations. You will engage with state regulatory bodies regarding complaints, escalated matters, and the proper application of company and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you will support the company's regulatory efforts in collaboration with regulators, community stakeholders, and various internal departments.

Key Duties


• Assist in drafting regulatory submissions, including testimonies, exhibits, data responses, and necessary documentation for state commissions.

• Act as a representative of the company to promote regulatory initiatives to regulators, community groups, and other departments.

• Analyze and interpret regulations and their implications for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Participate in training and communication efforts related to regulatory changes.

• Conduct analyses and provide recommendations to management regarding regulatory strategies and policies.

• Prepare cost analyses related to Schedule 300 charges across various states, collaborating with relevant business units.

• Work with state regulatory bodies to address customer complaints and ensure adherence to administrative rules.

• Prepare for and participate in formal proceedings related to customer complaints.

• Address escalated issues promptly, focusing on service recovery for customers.

• Recommend and facilitate process improvements in collaboration with business units to enhance compliance and efficiency.

• Undertake additional duties and special projects as needed, including liaising with low-income assistance organizations and identifying strategies to minimize customer complaints.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• At least three years of experience in a regulatory environment.

• Solid understanding of relevant company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

• Proficient in using personal computers, including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software for data analysis and modeling.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of consulting with various stakeholders on sensitive issues.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and individuals.

• Skills in presenting alternatives and recommendations.

• Project management capabilities, including task identification and scheduling.

• Willingness to travel as required.
