Job Title: Strategic Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team at CATHEXIS. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic communications plans to support our clients' goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to create awareness and demonstrate value of VA-sponsored activities and services
  • Research, draft, and edit promotional, informational, and marketing content for various mediums, including social media, blogs, articles, and press releases
  • Assist in developing and preparing presentation materials, including slides, scripts, and talking points
  • Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of projects, ensuring timely and efficient production of all project elements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation alignment and effective communication of project details
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Affairs, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Public Affairs, Communications, or Technical Writing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms
  • Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and high work standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team with a positive attitude
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience supporting VA, DoD, and/or DHS organizations
  • Experience in project management tools, such as Asana and Microsoft Teams
  • Understanding of the Associated Press Style Guide
