Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse I to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a Critical Care Nurse I, you will provide exceptional care to our patients in a hybrid ICU and Progressive Care Unit setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, and performs treatments and procedures
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients

Requirements:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care (preferred, not required)
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of quality concepts and principles
