We are seeking a compassionate Elderly Care Specialist to join our team at RAMSGATE FAMILY CARE HOME. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Medtech certifications, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Job Summary:

The Elderly Care Specialist will provide basic care to our residents, monitor their health, and assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with medical procedures. The successful candidate will effectively communicate with residents and their families to ensure they are comfortable and well-informed of their care plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing basic patient care, such as taking vital signs, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and helping patients use the restroom.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, report changes to the nursing team, and document progress.
  • Assist with transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and lifts.
  • Respond to patients' call lights in a timely manner.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
