Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled LPN Ambulatory Care Specialist to join our team at Avance Care. As a primary care provider, you will play a vital role in improving the standard of healthcare for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
  • Record patient data prior to each physician's visit, including vital signs, height, weight, head circumference, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures, including injections, dermatologic procedures, pelvic exams, EKGs, eye exams, managing dressings, POC lab tests, and performing x-rays.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
  • Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider.
  • Other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • ~ 5+ years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting, such as Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or Family Medicine.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Vaccination knowledge.
