Operating Room Patient Care Specialist

Surgery Partners is a leading provider of surgical services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As an Operating Room Patient Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take vital signs and record patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with the collection of lab specimens and transport patients to and from operating rooms, laboratories, and examining rooms.
  • Provide support to patients who require assistance with walking or standing, and communicate their needs to nurses and doctors as necessary.
  • Aid patients in the use of medical devices and equipment, and update relief workers on any unusual situations that may arise during their shift.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of Operating Room or patient care experience in an ambulatory surgical setting strongly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required upon hire.
