Human Resources Analyst C or Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Analyst C or Specialist to join our team at the Louisiana Department of Revenue. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real impact on the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with and advise agency staff on all classification matters, providing guidance and assistance throughout the position description process.
- Review information stated on position descriptions and compare work described to relevant job specifications and similar positions within the agency.
- Examine previous position descriptions to determine nature and extent of duty changes, reviewing established precedent positions, organizational charts, and related information to determine relationships among positions.
- Recommend approval, denial, or other actions on new and/or updated position descriptions, appeals for reallocation, and related transactions.
- Submit requested position descriptions to Civil Service via the Position Description System (PDS) for consideration and position allocation.
- Review all requests for pay actions to ensure compliance with Civil Service rule, computing routine pay changes and verifying accuracy of information.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on the agency's 6.5g process, approving or rejecting 6.5g requests after receipt and review.
- Ensure that special pay requests are job-related and pertinent to the performance of required duties, confirming that all credentials used to justify special pay requests have been verified.
- A baccalaureate degree plus two years of professional-level human resources experience.
- Substitutions: Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree. Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine work experience and college credit to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
