**Job Title:** Executive Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our team at the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that all departments function seamlessly and deliver outstanding results.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Operational Management:** Oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring that all departments are functioning efficiently and effectively.
  • **Team Management:** Lead and manage a team of experienced professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • **Financial Management:** Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and resource allocation, ensuring that the organization is financially sustainable.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and sponsors.
  • **Communication:** Develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring that the organization's message is conveyed to the right audience.

**Requirements:**

  • **Proven Experience:** A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a similar organization.
  • **Leadership Skills:** Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • **Financial Skills:** Strong financial management skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and financial plans.
  • **Strategic Thinking:** Ability to think strategically, with a clear understanding of the organization's mission and vision.
