SEACORP is seeking a skilled Surface Ship Combat Systems Software Engineer to join our Combat Systems group. The ideal candidate will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities to design, develop, document, test, and debug software solutions for business and mission problems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
- Apply standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed, and information processing techniques to develop software.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, and compile documentation of program development.
- Ensure software standards are met.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
- At least three years' experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
- Proven ability to take responsibility for significant tasks, complete them on schedule, and document and present the results.
- Proven knowledge and experience applying design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with C++ and/or Java.
- Familiarity with RedHat Enterprise Linux and git.
- Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration.
- Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP.
- Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, or MySQL.
- Prior experience with naval combat control systems.
