Job Responsibilities
AECOM is looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review and assess all financial documentation before submission to clients.
+ Liaise with subcontractor contacts regarding invoicing.
+ Assist in tracking monthly subcontractor payments for client submission.
+ Aid in the preparation of monthly invoices and cost reports.
+ Oversee and review the monthly invoice narratives process to accompany invoices.
+ Conduct cost and billing reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
+ Organize and analyze all relevant backup data.
+ Collaborate with project controls personnel for necessary project-level reporting.
+ Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, unbilled, and disputed costs status.
+ Participate in weekly invoice meetings with Program Management.
+ Support the PA Manager and clients with Fiscal Year End financial accruals (Planning/Construction).
+ Assist the PA Manager and clients with Fiscal Year End budget encumbrances.
+ Engage in project cost review meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
+ 5 years of experience in cost accounting and reporting.
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with problem-solving capabilities.
+ Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
+ Previous experience in project cost accounting for complex and large-scale projects.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems such as Fi$Cal (Hyperion, Peoplesoft), Oracle, and SAP is preferred.
+ Ability to conduct cost analysis and provide solutions; research and compile data while maintaining accurate project records; meet deadlines; and communicate effectively with others with courtesy and respect.
+ Detail-oriented and highly organized.
+ Additional project duties as assigned.
