Role Summary:
The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in managing financial data and reporting for our clients. This position requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop methodologies and processes that align with budget management, funding, and expenditure tracking, ensuring compliance with both State and Federal reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee month-end and quarter-end financial reporting, taking ownership of specific analytical areas while supporting colleagues.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for all owned processes and maintain thorough documentation.
3. Collaborate in the creation of new analytical and reporting methodologies.
4. Conduct ad hoc reconciliations and analyses as needed.
5. Input data into database applications, perform data analysis, and recommend database report designs.
6. Partner with team members in preparing financial reports and funding forecasts.
7. Ensure accuracy in data and methodologies, conducting financial reviews within set timelines.
8. Maintain a high standard of accuracy in data entry and review processes.
9. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
10. Manage tight deadlines within a large-scale infrastructure program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
• BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Experience in Government Contracting.
• In-depth understanding of Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) regulations.
• Over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Certification in Internal Auditing is advantageous.
• Proven ability to cultivate cooperative working relationships and respond effectively to challenging situations.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, finance, accounting, financial reporting, funding forecasting, and process improvement.
