Job Description

As a Sales Manager at SS&C Technologies, you will be responsible for leading a team of high-performing sales representatives. Your primary goal will be to institute a daily, weekly, and monthly operational cadence with your team to maximize productivity across the territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop sales strategy across the team to gain greater market share, including proactive research alongside reps.
  • Run weekly pipeline calls to assist in opportunity management through the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close in the territory.
  • Coach reps both formally through interactive sessions as well as in-field presence.
  • Proficient in leading both in-person and virtual high-value customer meetings, product demonstrations, and customer presentations.
  • Execute a high field presence where applicable to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Articulate and persuade the value of Intralinks solutions to solve, leverage the brand, scale, and market position to place Intralinks as a competitive advantage.
  • Expertly handle time to focus on activities that develop the team and grow pipeline/revenue.
  • Understanding of key buying personas and ability to discuss meaningful business challenges for each.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to direct reports and help to fill gaps in skillset.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategy through input of ideas and suggestions to senior management team.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience.
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales activity metrics to achieve success and perennial sales achievement in sales revenue targets.
  • Prior managerial experience preferred.
  • Situational fluent in front of the customer, ready to respond and adapt to what they are saying and to effectively counter objections by differentiating Intralinks solutions and value.
  • Able to identify and deliver the "compelling event" for the customer to buy.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to generate new business and grow existing revenue streams via effective prospecting, opportunity identification, account management, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, team environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and driven.
  • Strong interpersonal and follow-up skills.
