Position Overview

In the role of Lead Manager for Energy Innovations, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. Your contributions will align with our commitment to sustainability and innovation within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the creation of innovative designs and solutions by collaborating with executive leadership to identify new business ventures; assessing the current business landscape; pinpointing, investigating, and evaluating opportunities; proposing various solutions; directing the design and development of these solutions; researching best practices to optimize future initiatives; analyzing outcomes and providing strategic recommendations; and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Developing and validating innovative concept tests by recognizing opportunities for business enhancements; determining the optimal approach for proof of concept; establishing testing frameworks; identifying testing requirements and attributes; supervising the training of team members; analyzing results; and assessing the scalability of new initiatives.
  • Leading medium to large-scale innovation projects by gathering project requirements and innovation opportunities; defining deliverable needs; securing agreement on deliverable specifications; ensuring timely completion of deliverables; reviewing key performance indicators; soliciting feedback from project teams and senior management; identifying and communicating risks; and consolidating project data for leadership review.
  • Consulting with internal departments on strategic initiatives by formulating high-level project plans to meet strategic objectives; prioritizing and executing work streams within corporate strategies; integrating timelines, tasks, analyses, and team assignments; and ensuring effective planning, testing, and delivery of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing EV charging products.
  • Expertise in EV charging operations, with knowledge of OCPP, OCPI, ISO, or related energy domains.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various software engineering disciplines, including RESTful services, data modeling, distributed design orchestration, and APIs.
  • A customer-centric approach with a strong desire to enhance the charging experience through effective and scalable solutions.
  • A proven track record of success in matrixed organizations, collaborating with stakeholders across diverse domains.
