SUMMARY:

In the role of IT Operations Manager, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Information Technology. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee, organize, and coordinate the daily functions of a dedicated team of engineers and analysts. This team is responsible for managing the everyday operations of the organization's IT department across various locations and data centers. A comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure, network systems, storage solutions, and legal applications is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the daily operations of the IT Operations team, ensuring effective and efficient technical processes.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and performance management initiatives for operations engineers and analysts.
  • Propose enhancements in operational technologies to elevate departmental performance.
  • Contribute to the creation, implementation, and compliance of IT policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the availability and optimal performance of the organization's operational technologies.
  • Identify emerging trends and develop long-term strategies for service enhancement.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual IT budget, covering staffing, hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate regularly with other IT management on various projects and initiatives.
  • Work alongside project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Engage with leadership and department managers on technology initiatives to guarantee effective implementation and maintenance.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions for operational processes, cloud infrastructure, applications, and data centers.
  • Stay informed about new and emerging technologies relevant to business operations.
  • Participate in vendor selection processes, negotiate terms, and evaluate proposals.
  • Perform additional management tasks related to the technical operations of the organization as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a technical team of 5 or more in a medium to large enterprise.
  • Experience in project management for small to mid-sized projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate work while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels of management and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, as required.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server configurations.
  • Understanding of network management and firewall configurations.
  • Knowledge of networked storage systems.
  • Experience with M365 solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and cloud collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and VoIP software.
  • Familiarity with legal software applications.
  • Experience with various IT infrastructure tools and systems.
