About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be an instrumental part of our Plenful team. This role is primarily focused on infrastructure but provides growth opportunities to take ownership of key components of the backend software stack that interface closely with the infrastructure layer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Build, and Maintain Scalable and Secure Cloud Infrastructure: Primarily on AWS, our ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, our Senior Infrastructure Engineer will manage infrastructure as code.
  • Automate Deployment Pipelines and CI/CD Processes: For efficient and reliable application delivery, our ideal candidate will automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
  • Implement and Manage Observability Tools: Like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog, our Senior Infrastructure Engineer will implement and manage observability tools.
  • Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Optimize Performance: Across production systems, our ideal candidate will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance.
  • Ensure High Availability and Disaster Recovery Strategies: Across systems, our Senior Infrastructure Engineer will ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team: To integrate best practices for scalability and security, our ideal candidate will collaborate with the Engineering team.
  • Administer Containerized Environments: Using ECS, EKS, our Senior Infrastructure Engineer will administer containerized environments.
  • Conduct Regular Security Assessments and Vulnerability Management: Ensuring compliance with security standards, our ideal candidate will conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong experience with AWS-based services and SQL DBs
  • Experience running Python-based backends
  • Strong track record of success and experience in a cloud engineering role, or similar (e.g., DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure)
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent communication (verbal & written), and a passion for innovation
  • Healthcare engineering experience is a plus
  • Startup experience is a plus
