About the Position

In your role as a Lead Security Infrastructure Engineer at Moonhub, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking charge of essential elements within our foundational infrastructure.
  • Architecting and developing backend systems to guarantee the seamless functionality of our blockchain networks.
  • Improving our DevOps pipeline to facilitate dependable and secure deployment processes.
  • Consistently enhancing the reliability of our infrastructure by optimizing the observability framework.
  • Upholding and fortifying the security of our cloud infrastructure.

AWS Security Duties

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols within AWS environments to safeguard against diverse security threats.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities within AWS.
  • Applying and enforcing AWS security best practices, including IAM policy management, VPC configurations, and network safeguards.
  • Conducting security evaluations and audits on AWS infrastructure, offering suggestions for enhancements.

Kubernetes Security Duties

  • Strengthening and securing Kubernetes clusters to prevent vulnerabilities and attacks.
  • Implementing network policies, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and security contexts to bolster security measures in Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and addressing security incidents within Kubernetes environments.

You May Be the Ideal Candidate If You...

  • Possess over 4 years of engineering experience.
  • Have experience developing backend services in Go or TypeScript.
  • Are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Have practical experience with cloud/infrastructure providers, including AWS, Vercel, and Cloudflare.
  • Exhibit a strong focus on security and a comprehensive understanding of threat modeling and secure system architecture.
  • Are skilled in performance optimization, identifying bottlenecks, and addressing scalability challenges.
  • Have experience with observability tools such as Grafana or Datadog.

Additional Qualifications That Would Be Beneficial...

  • Have a solid understanding of how blockchains like Ethereum or Bitcoin operate at a fundamental level.
  • Stay informed about Ethereum scaling solutions such as sidechains or rollups.
  • Possess knowledge of cryptographic principles, including hash functions or digital signatures.
  • Have experience in developing Ethereum decentralized applications (dapps).
