We are seeking a Configuration and Change Management Lead to join our team. This role is based in Suitland, MD and requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance, with the capability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership Role
    • The Configuration/Change Manager (C/CM) will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), overseeing all facets of Configuration and Change Management processes to establish and uphold the technical baseline of the organization's IT systems.
  • Documentation and Planning
    • The C/CM will be responsible for creating documentation and executing comprehensive plans for configuration and change control across IT programs, projects, and tasks, ensuring effective collaboration with related processes. The role involves conducting assessments and monitoring the IT environment for adherence to established Change and Configuration management plans, while also evaluating the processes for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 7 years in leading configuration and change control, including management of the change control board.
    • Extensive experience in conducting design reviews, configuration audits, and product evaluations to ensure accurate identification, control, and status accounting of IT systems.
    • Proven track record in enforcing compliance with government policies and quality control measures.
    • Experience in managing the change process to ensure that only approved changes are implemented within the IT environment.
    • Ability to maintain the original configuration of requirements, design, software, hardware, and associated documentation.
    • Deep understanding of IT and business requirements, with the capability to lead development, testing, and deployment of enhancements based on these requirements.
    • Proficient in identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to the IT team and management.
    • Experience in developing training materials and conducting sessions on Configuration and Change Management principles to promote adherence across the organization.
    • Background in supporting Information Assurance through effective configuration management of Information Systems (IS) to facilitate security and risk management.
    • Expertise in establishing and maintaining IT Configuration Items (CIs).
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications
    • ITIL v.4 Certification is required.
  • Desired Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe), Software Development, and Project Management methodologies.
    • Configuration Management Certification (NDIA, CMII, or CMPIC) is preferred.
    • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) is a plus.
  • Security Clearance Requirements
    • U.S. Citizenship is required, along with an active DoD TS/SCI clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph is essential.
