WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
  • Maintains regular communication and strong rapport with team members across various departments.
  • Engages in periodic meetings with other departmental leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop leadership within the team aligned with Core Values and organizational goals.
  • Guide leaders in delivering effective performance feedback and evaluations for team members.
  • Coach department leaders on consistent and effective interactions with team members.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and fair administration of practices by team leaders.
  • Set clear expectations and regularly communicate performance assessments for department leaders.
  • Provide coaching on safety, quality, and productivity standards to team members.
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations for team members.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance training and performance for team members.
  • Educate and guide team members to operate within company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct manufacturing activities and objectives with team members.
  • Regularly analyze and communicate performance metrics to team members.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, management, and training of the team.
  • Oversee production operations to meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Comply with and enforce all company Quality, HACCP, GMP, Food Defense, and Food Safety protocols.
  • Define, review, and enhance departmental SOPs and standards.
  • Manage production operations in alignment with company policies and practices.
  • Eliminate operational waste and enhance resource efficiencies for a lean environment.
  • Establish and manage processes that effectively utilize company resources.
  • Oversee proper allocation of human resources.
  • Establish and enhance training standards and objectives.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to departmental structure and resources.
  • Coordinate and investigate safety, quality, and productivity issues to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain equipment, materials, and facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Define operational schedules and production plans to meet customer requirements and coordinate with necessary departments.
  • Support the establishment of productivity objectives and drive initiatives to achieve those goals.
  • Assist departments in providing safety, quality, planning, maintenance, sanitary, and material resources.
  • Support the development of annual objectives and budgets for the department.
  • Effectively communicate departmental performance to management and leadership stakeholders.
  • Foster effective communication within the department and with other departments.
  • Recognize and report team member and departmental successes.
  • Support equipment, product, and material testing as necessary.
  • Provide execution assistance as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – a true team player.
  • Dedicated worker who is self-motivated and proactive.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
  • Experience managing both salaried and hourly employees in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
