Job Title: Electrical Engineering Services Specialist

Eaton's Electrical Engineering & Services Division is seeking a highly skilled District Support Engineer to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. As a District Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, including field service manpower, engineering, and sales support for the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the District's job schedule and backlog, including preparation of job plans, budgets, schedules, personnel requirements, and other tasks as required.
  • Assist in developing short-term business financial forecasts, implementing the annual profit plan, and developing cost estimates for proposals and negotiations.
  • Provide technical support for Field Service Representatives and Operation's Coordinators as they execute jobs.
  • Maintain all service equipment, including test equipment, tools, and inventory, to ensure they meet specifications and are in good working condition.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, support Sales with initial and follow-up quotations, and interface with other plants and business units within the company and outside vendors to procure parts and services.
  • Provide customers with basic applications information via phone or on-site consultation and be available for 24-hour x 7 days a week on-call duty and respond to emergency situations with minimal notification.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher with a minimum of 5 years of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 9 or more years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation assistance is being offered, and only candidates within a 75-mile radius of the location listed in the job description will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or engineering technology).
  • 5+ years leading and managing large service engineering projects of complex scope.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the Electrical and EESS industry, products, and solutions.
