Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Quantum Devices

Vector Atomic is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in building cutting-edge quantum devices for various applications. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying analog and mixed-signal circuits for precision INS instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation quantum instruments.
  • Design and implement analog and mixed-signal circuits for precision INS instruments, with a focus on low-noise and low-power design techniques.
  • Select and procure components, and work with purchasing to fabricate and assemble PCBAs.
  • Create schematics and assist with layout, defining critical board layout techniques to improve signal integrity.
  • Assist with board bring-up and debugging, developing test scripts and documentation to support validation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to provide technical guidance and support as they program and interact with your circuits.
  • Contribute to the development process by writing task tickets (Jira) for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • BSEE/MSEE degree with substantial course/lab/intern work in analog circuit design, or equivalent experience.
  • US export control laws require "U.S. persons" including U.S. citizens (born or naturalized), lawful permanent residents, and certain categories of refugees, and asylees.
  • Must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborators, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training/expertise with analog and mixed-signal circuit design, POL power supply circuit design, and EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Simulation of circuits using Spice, and experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, and voltmeters.
  • Experience writing test code for scripting languages such as Python or TCL to control laboratory equipment.
