Job Title: FPGA Engineer

Orion Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join our team. As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex digital systems using Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems for various applications, including medical devices, communication systems, and data processing systems.
  • Develop and implement algorithms and software for FPGA-based systems, including programming languages such as VHDL and Verilog.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA-based systems with other hardware and software components.
  • Test and debug FPGA-based systems to ensure they meet performance, power, and reliability requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest FPGA technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of FPGA design tools, including Vivado and Vitis.
  • Experience with VHDL and Verilog programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with high-level synthesis (HLS) tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of microblaze and C programming languages.
  • Experience with Artix 7 series FPGAs.
