Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cable and interconnect assemblies for both stationary and mobile robotic applications.
- Manage designs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with system-level objectives from concept through validation and production handoff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, build, integrate, troubleshoot, and verify systems.
- Create and maintain essential engineering documentation including requirements, drawings, BOMs, test plans, and release notes.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and compliance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, compliance testing, and ongoing manufacturing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cable and harness development.
- Proficiency in designing cable assemblies and wire harnesses for industrial applications.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles including power, shielding, grounding, and various signal types.
- Familiarity with mechanical considerations such as routing and fastening.
- Experience with design tools such as ORCAD and SolidWorks.
- Detail-oriented with a systems-oriented mindset.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and cable assembly.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Export License may be required when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in robotics applications adhering to industrial standards.
- Background in developing products that meet safety and compliance regulations.
- Ability to identify innovative opportunities and propose enhancements to products and processes.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $132,000 - $156,000, with potential variations based on geographic location, internal equity, and individual qualifications. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program.
