Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting to join our team at Michael Foods. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain cost standards for finished goods
  • Review and reconcile raw inventory to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with production and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety work rules and reinforce safety as a core value
  • Monitor and maintain accurate SAP inventories
  • Prepare and maintain standard cost estimates in SAP
  • Assist in the completion of the month-end close
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 1-3 years of cost accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus
