Key Responsibilities
  • Attend design and progress review meetings to ensure scope, cost, and schedule adherence.
  • Assist in monitoring design documents' progress and meet regularly with Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Principals, and interdepartmental representatives during the design process.
  • Perform daily field inspections of construction projects and prepare daily and weekly field reports to evaluate work product and ensure conformance to design specifications and requirements.
  • Review assigned project reports, architect and contractor pay requests, and change order requests to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Procure project-related ancillary furniture, furnishings, and equipment and monitor installation to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage the end-user service level experience and maintain department specifications/drawings and document control.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers in managing and researching necessary ongoing updates to the CCPS Design Guidelines as requested by Operations, Technology, and Curriculum departments.
  • Meet with interagency governmental groups, inspectors, and fire marshal to procure permits, certificate of occupancy, and final inspections.
  • Collaborate with Department of Education and utility providers in managing and completing the local facilities plan and reimbursement programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' commercial construction experience required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required to manage projects effectively.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's license required.
  • Independent judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions.
  • Regular contact and ability to interact effectively with internal personnel of influence, architects, engineers, contractors, and members of the community.
  • Responsible for supervising/making recommendations oversight of multiple construction projects.
  • Applies, recommends, and implements basic technology concepts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance Department.
Working Conditions

Normal office setting; construction site. Must adhere to all safety guidelines of the construction site at all times. Variable work environment - 50% outdoors; must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Physical Effort

Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, stooping. Typically standing and/or walking. Typically pushing and/or pulling. Requires repeated reaching by extending hand(s) and/or arm(s) in any direction. Moderate lifting; may be required to carry fifty (50) lbs. or less. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations sixty (60) feet, or on high-rise rooftop locations.
