Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Coordinator to join our team at Bridgeprep Academy, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction linked to the school and district strategic goals for all students, with a focus on students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement rigorous academic programs that actively engage students and incorporate best educational practices.

  • Create an inclusive learning environment that addresses the needs of all learners and supports the social/emotional development of students.

  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and school policies related to special education.

  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency related to the ESE Department.

  • Ensure adherence to rules and procedures mandated by federal, state, and school policies.

  • Lead IEP/EP team meetings, mediations, and due process hearings to ensure procedures outlined in the Policies and Procedures for the Provision of Specially Designed Instruction and Related Services for Exceptional Students have been adhered to.

  • Complete all required forms related to eligibility and placement of exceptional education and/or Section 504 students.

  • Assist the IEP/EP team in identifying the range of placement options and determining the least restrictive environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and school policies related to special education.

  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve student achievement.
