Position SummaryAs a Licensed HVAC Technician or Building Engineer, you will engage in advanced technical tasks within the HVAC field, operating at a journeyman level. Your responsibilities will encompass the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of commercial building systems and related mechanical equipment, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and assist subcontractors in maintaining primary and secondary HVAC systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in HVAC systems and perform all necessary HVAC tasks for the facilities.
- Maintain and operate various mechanical systems, including chillers, air handling units, and pumps.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate operational logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all maintenance activities.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on-site, providing documentation of completed work.
- Monitor and adjust mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and work order documentation through a computerized management system.
- Must possess a valid Journeyman's HVAC License or DC 3rd Class Engineer License.
- Universal CFC certification is required.
- Preferred certifications include OSHA 10 Training and UST Class C Certification.
- A minimum of five years of HVAC/Engineering experience in facilities management is required.
- Completion of a federally approved technical training program in HVAC installation and maintenance is necessary.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to operate hand and power tools safely.
