Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct Nuclear Medicine examinations efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assess patient conditions to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are performed.
  • Educate patients about the procedures and expectations for cooperation.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care while maintaining a safe and comforting environment.
  • Consult with team members to address patient and family needs.
  • Ensure availability and safe use of clinical equipment and supplies, performing Point of Care procedures as per established protocols.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to quality control standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or equivalent.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
