Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality images in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric.
  • Operate all Nuclear Medicine cameras, computers, and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients; possess skill to modify positioning and scanning factors when standard cannot be performed.
  • Perform radioactive therapy procedures according to Nuclear Medicine Policies and Procedures and the Radioactive Material License.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or a military training program of equivalent standards.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMT) OR Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT (NM)).
  • Registered Certificate of Transportation of Hazardous Radioactive Material (HWC).
