Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with equipment used for NM exams, including Spect Cameras, PET, and PACS.
  • Ensure availability of physician supervision for procedures requiring medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding radioactive materials, including receipt and administration records.
  • Perform surveys and document findings of work areas, patient rooms, and radioactive waste storage areas.
  • Enter procedure charges to patient accounts in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate scheduled procedures with radioactive materials and supplies.
  • Adhere to policies related to Standard Precautions, Infection Control, and Radiation Safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to maintain quality control and quality assurance guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) OR a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board
  • Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St. David's HealthCare policy
