Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency with equipment used for NM exams, including Spect Cameras, PET, and PACS.
- Ensure availability of physician supervision for procedures requiring medication administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding radioactive materials, including receipt and administration records.
- Perform surveys and document findings of work areas, patient rooms, and radioactive waste storage areas.
- Enter procedure charges to patient accounts in a timely manner.
- Coordinate scheduled procedures with radioactive materials and supplies.
- Adhere to policies related to Standard Precautions, Infection Control, and Radiation Safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to maintain quality control and quality assurance guidelines.
- Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) OR a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board
- Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St. David's HealthCare policy

We offer a comprehensive range of services, including cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women's services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center. Our facility is also home to a 60+ bed rehabilitation hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive care.
