The organization is committed to empowering veterans to achieve fulfilling lives by providing assistance with essential services such as housing, healthcare, and employment.
The Eligibility Coordinator will be responsible for conducting client screenings and intakes, as well as offering administrative support for the Priority Veteran program, which provides Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing services to eligible Veteran families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Veterans seeking housing assistance.
- Manage the Priority Veteran intake line, addressing calls from Veterans and referring them to appropriate providers.
- Conduct pre-screenings for potential clients via phone or in-person to determine program eligibility and connect ineligible clients with community resources.
- Ensure timely follow-up on all client inquiries and return voicemails promptly.
- Effectively communicate the details of the Priority Veteran program to prospective clients and the broader community.
- Accurately document pre-screenings in the Service Point system.
- Collect necessary documentation from veterans and perform eligibility determinations in accordance with grant guidelines.
- Schedule intakes and prepare relevant intake packets and materials.
- Maintain an updated knowledge of additional resources available to veterans.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of the PV and SSVF program guidelines as well as issues related to veteran homelessness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with occasional after-hours or weekend work and travel throughout the state. Travel is required.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $21.15/hr
Annual Salary Range: $40,000 - $44,000

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
- Military experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Aptitude for building rapport with clients experiencing homelessness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Client Management Systems.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Background checks including criminal record, drug screening, and TB testing.
