Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the daily functions of Son of a Saint, ensuring that the organization operates smoothly and efficiently. This role involves strategic oversight and leadership in various operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment and training processes for the Operations Department staff.
  • Directly supervise key personnel including the Human Resources Manager, Senior Accountant, Logistics Manager, Office Manager, and Building and Facilities Manager.
  • Coordinate and manage the workflow and schedules of Operations Department employees.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Address disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
  • Assess labor requirements to achieve organizational objectives.

Departmental Oversight:

  • Logistics Management: Design and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee maintenance schedules and facility upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Human Resources Management: Work with HR to attract, train, and retain skilled employees while fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise financial operations, budgeting, and reporting to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Administrative Management: Manage administrative tasks to support operational functions and optimize office resources.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define strategic objectives for the organization.
  • Establish metrics and standards for evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze and refine internal operating procedures for improvement.
  • Implement policies to enhance daily operations.
  • Ensure a safe and adequate work environment.
  • Monitor departmental performance to align with organizational goals.
  • Manage budgets and costs within the Operations Department.
  • Communicate new policies and procedures to staff effectively.
  • Enhance satisfaction among stakeholders through effective policy changes.
  • Facilitate collaboration among various departments to improve workflow.
  • Represent the organization positively to employees and the community.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of business and financial practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven managerial and diplomatic abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and related software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a relevant role.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
