Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer - Project Manager to join our team at AEC Talent Acquisition. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing traffic engineering department projects, providing quality control efforts, and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement traffic engineering projects to ensure company objectives are met
  • Conduct transportation impact analyses (TIAs) and other traffic studies to state and local standards
  • Negotiate with public and private sector entities
  • Represent clients/projects at public meetings
  • Interface with clients and supervise subcontractors for project implementation
  • Provide senior-level traffic engineering and project management expertise
  • Lead and manage project engineers
  • Perform project administrative activities, including proposal preparation and billing
  • Participate in marketing efforts and maintain client relationships
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering license in NC and/or VA, SC; ability to obtain in other states
  • 7 years of experience, with 5+ years in transportation engineering
  • Experience working with state and local public agencies
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Synchro and other transportation engineering software packages, as well as Microsoft Office
