Job Summary

As a Traffic Control Specialist at RoadSafe Traffic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of workers and motorists at our work sites. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Motorists: Work with the Traffic Control Department to direct motorists away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic.
  • Set-up Safety Measures: Set up signs, cones, and other safety equipment around work areas to divert traffic and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Complete Daily Paperwork: Accurately and timely complete daily paperwork, including reports and logs.
  • Operate Radio Communication: Operate a 2-way radio to communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers, including motorists and project stakeholders.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Regularly Exposed to: Outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles.
  • Noise Level: Moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • Pass a Drug Test: Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Company Sponsored Certification: Ability to participate and pass Company Sponsored Flagger certification.
