Job Title: Traffic Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Operations Engineer to join our team at Trilon Group. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic operations solutions that improve the efficiency and safety of our transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering-related calculations and analyses to design and optimize traffic operations systems.
  • Develop and implement traffic projections, transportation analysis, and planning evaluations using various software programs.
  • Assist in estimating and tracking project costs, and coordinate the preparation of data tabulation and reports.
  • Provide quality control and assurance consistent with company and department standards.
  • Perform field assignments, including site inspections and conducting field assessments of properties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • E.I. certificate in the state where this person's work is primarily performed.
  • Zero - four years of overall and progressively responsible experience with public and private sector projects, ideally in the A/E/C industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with Microstation.
  • Experience developing signal design and signing/pavement marking plans; NCDOT design standard knowledge is a plus.
