About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Secretariat. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Secretariat's operations team, with a focus on events management and special assistant duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on planning, organizing, and executing partner country constituency meetings and other key events, providing overall logistics and operational support.
  • Develop policy guidance and checklists for event management, including defining the scope of events management support and procedures for requesting support from the team.
  • Act as a TEP events coordinator for operational aspects of key events and ensure smooth execution.
  • Conduct market research on potential vendors to support events and logistics management.
  • Provide support to the GPE's replenishment campaign work.
  • Monitor events budget and procurement of vendors for events.
  • Provide backup support to TEP team members in their absence or during periods of heavy workload.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Full proficiency in English, both oral and written.
  • Prior experience organizing events is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize, and juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
