About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our team in Washington, DC, Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, Miami, FL, Tampa, FL, and Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project design in all phases, collaborating with project leadership and design teams.
  • Apply technical expertise to create innovative design solutions for architectural problems and coordinate related project activities.
  • Support business development and presentation efforts to secure and advance new projects.
  • Work with project teams to develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents.
  • Produce design and construction documents in BIM and mentor junior staff to do the same.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines, and perform QC review for design and redline documents.
  • Develop organized exhibits in BlueBeam and PowerPoint for client and team review.
  • Direct and perform site observation and field work, including site investigations and existing facility inventory.
  • Provide status reports of progress on architectural documents to senior architects and project managers.
  • Complete assignments efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner, and self-perform quality control on work prior to publication.
  • Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
  • Maintain and coordinate project BIM models and have a strong knowledge of construction document standards and conventions.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of building codes and have experience with code review processes.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies and achieve a consensus.
  • Consult with product manufacturers to evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field.
  • Understand building materials and construction methods.
  • Have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work effectively on several projects or issues simultaneously.
  • Be able to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
  • Analyze information and propose effective solutions on own initiative.
  • Create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for career advancement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture required.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience, including all phases of architectural design and CAD drafting, detailing, and coordination of consultants.
  • Expertise in BIM/Revit and AutoCAD required.
  • Registered Architect or Candidate must be in process of completing the Architect Registration Exam (ARE).
  • LEED AP is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledgeable about building codes, ADAAG, and other relevant building design criteria applicable for projects.
  • LEED AP or other sustainability certification or ability to obtain within first 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems and experience in implementation of various building systems and project types such as aviation, rail, transit, commercial, education is a plus.
