Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at San Jose Construction Group, Inc. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the financial success of our projects and drive overall project excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage construction budgets for Residential, Commercial, and Heavy Civil Projects.
  • Analyze RFP's/RFQ's, construction drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates for public and private bidding.
  • Engage in effective oral and written communications with subcontractors regarding estimates, minority certifications, etc.
  • Coordinate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, incorporating it into estimates.
  • Oversee the appropriate distribution of documentation upon project award.
  • Maintain project files and correspondence, ensuring organized documentation.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Pre-Construction, and Construction Teams to ensure project success.
  • Foster positive relationships with Project Managers, Consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or any other equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in Commercial/Residential and/or Heavy Civil construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding RFP/RFQ/IFB docs, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, eTakeoff, and estimating software, RS Means, or similar databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions.
