Building Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:
The role of the Construction Project Assistant serves as an entry-level opportunity for recent high school graduates aspiring to build a career in the construction sector. Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development throughout the program, which requires a minimum commitment of one year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Crisis Control Plan effectively.
- Support weekly safety inspections at job sites.
- Assist in the daily inspection of safety measures such as guardrails, hole covers, and safety nets.
- Participate in daily and weekly safety meetings.
- Help verify that installed materials align with submittals and contract specifications.
- Contribute to maintaining the Quality Assurance Program within Procore.
- Assist in tracking materials and ensuring their availability on-site.
- Support the creation of the final punch list.
- Develop an understanding of project timelines and schedules.
- Assist with Requests for Information (RFI) and submittal processes.
- Manage document control effectively.
- Attend weekly meetings with trade partners.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- A strong desire to pursue a career in the construction industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Work Environment: The role is primarily conducted in a standard office setting with frequent public interaction and interruptions.
Physical Requirements: The primary duties require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office environment; to stand or sit for extended periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, or pull light to moderate weights (up to 50 lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movements and fine coordination, including the use of a computer keyboard; to travel to various locations using different modes of transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision and Hearing: Must be able to see in the normal visual range with or without correction and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
